This campaign was shot in Sydney, then brought back to Melbourne for edit and finishing as the creatives, client and other stakeholders were all based in Melbourne. Of course being a national, government campaign, and a strategic update to the famous “Slip,Slop,Slap” campaigns, there were many stakeholders to manage.
For a fast turnaround, we brought this into the Publicis Melbourne suite for in person live editing with stakeholders in the suite, and others joining online. Producer Jackson Gray certainly had his work cut out to bridge the gap between the modern music video style of creative, and the many stakeholders in this project.
Creatively, it was decided to work in a 4:3 as a stylistic choice. 16-9 variations were made, but it was chosen to stick with the 4:3 frame.
The campaign was shot on Alexa LF in open gate, edited in Premiere, then sent out for VFX work in Nuke, graded by the Director’s choice of colourist, before coming back into edit for online, social conforms and final dispatch.
This was a very fast turnaround campaign, that hit all the campaign criteria, while still keeping very close to the original creative intent. Something that can be a tough ask, with so many stakeholders involved.
