As the in-house editor and colourist for Publicis Groupe Melbourne, my brief on this project was to work directly with our Agency Producer to add online/social and realer assets to the campaign. Working from the original footage, I followed the creative lead set by the production team at Good Oil and the campaign editing by Leila Gaabi, while crafting edit variations bespoke to their uses.
Once approved, I also had to colour grade the new edits to match the original campaign film, while also keeping the continuity of the look across the new footage that wasn’t used in the original film.
Different from the campaign, the Dealer Reel takes you on a journey slightly different to the main campaign storyline. In the dealer reel we were able save more “darlings” from the shoot, incorporating some the beautiful shots captured with a drag shutter, at very last light, and with shafts of light reflecting through the city.
