When the great team from Titanium Caravans reached out to photograph their new product range, it was quite a challenge. I had worked previously on New Age Caravans, but the increased size of these caravans certainly posed a challenge. They have to be moved entirely by forklift, you can’t even push them a couple of feet to reposition. And the sheer sizer required a large van solution from my gaffer, Tom Savige. Transporting them to a studio was not an option, but we had to still create that look. Working with Tom we came to a solution that suited Tom’s available equipment, and the warehouse space we had to work in.

These are some of the biggest caravans in the country, with some weighing in at over 5 tonne, so it’s a bit like lighting a small truck.

The brief was to simulate the lighting look of a studio environment, creating a clean product look, with the capacity for the products to also be cut out and transposed onto a variety of backgrounds and designed promotional materials.
